- Create and prepare high-quality African dishes such as Egusi soup, bitterleave soup, Oha soup, isiewu, Nkwobi, Jollof rice, etc.
- Oversee and manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items, ensuring varieties and specials
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in a timely manner
- Monitor food quality and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Manage inventory and control food costs
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations
- High school certificate
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Two years experience as an African Chef
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Creativity and passion for food
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
